APRIL  6, 2019
ONE   DAY   WOMEN'S   RETREAT

Give yourself the gift of a day to connect more deeply with God and one another.  Pastor Heather Wright will be facilitating this retreat alongside Katie Nelson-Troyer who will be leading us in worship. Our theme for the day will be "Leaning In". Our prayer is that each woman that comes will be refreshed and renewed spiritually and make a few new friends along the way.  Registration is $125. Our program will start at 9am. We invite you to come at 8:30 for a light continental breakfast. We will break for lunch and finish the day at 3pm.

You do have the additional option to stay at Tarrytown House on Friday night for an additional $130 (which is a discounted rate).  If you come early, you can enjoy dinner at the restaurant, Cellar 49, and relax with others in the evening. The cost of dinner is not included in the retreat/overnight registration fee. To stay over on Friday night, please register directly with the hotel by clicking on the tab below.

Women's Ministry exists to equip, encourage, embrace and engage women from all walks and stages of life to live a journey of faith that transforms them to be more like Jesus.

And it is on this journey that we discover that in every part of our lives, we are solely and desperately dependent on Jesus. Our desire is that women find biblical answers to their life questions, that they find hope in their times of hopelessness and find wisdom in the midst of their challenges through a deep understanding of God's love, mercy and grace.

Charis Women is designed to help women by providing encouragement through supportive friendships, and by fostering spiritual growth through prayer, small groups and Bible study.

We meet at Charis House (208 Taconic Road) on Thursday mornings at 9:30. Coffee is served while moms have a chance to catch-up and share their latest stories, woes, and joys. We spend some time studying a book, topic or teaching and then discuss how we can apply these things to our own spiritual lives as individuals and as mothers. Our time together ends promptly at 11:00am. Childcare is provided in the church nursery.

Through Bible studies, prayer ministry, special events and retreats we provide places for women to discover, refine and use their gifts, passions and talents.  As we become more aligned with life in God’s kingdom here on earth, we find ourselves to be women who are in ministry to one another, the body of Christ, and the world beyond the walls of Stanwich Church.

We invite you to join our community of women where you will experience authentic relationship with other women and with Christ.  As you become part of our community, it is our hope that you will experience the unspeakable joy of being solely and desperately dependent on Jesus.
