Stanwich Church Student Ministry
Let's Hang Out!
Our goal is to have a program where students feel comfortable and welcomed--all while introducing and pointing them to Jesus. Stanwich Church is a place where students can simply be themselves, meet new friends, and hear Gospel-centered messages relevant to middle and high school students.
The Stanwich Student Service meets weekly on Sunday mornings during the 9 AM and 10:45 AM service.
Upcoming Events
We'll be kicking off our fall series called "Seeking Jesus". We can rest in Jesus finished work on the cross, but is that the end of our journey with God? No way! We are called to seek Jesus and experience his presence in our lives as we become more and more like him. Join us as we try different experiences that allow us to draw closer to Jesus.
We'll begin the night by enjoying some good food and hanging out with one another. After some fun, we will then explore different ways to seek Jesus and break off into our Small Groups. In the Small Groups, students are encouraged to connect, share what's on their hearts, and receive prayer.
Please note - Middle and high school students will meet in Emmaus Hall and then break off into their Small Groups separated by age and gender.
When & Where:
When: Wednesday nights from 7-9 PM, starting September 20
Where: Emmaus Hall(Large gathering space at Stanwich Church)
Let's Talk About It : Self Image / Body Image
Have you ever questioned if our faith has anything to say about the complex issues we face daily? For some, it can seem as if Christianity is disconnected from the “real world."
Join us for “Let’s Talk About It," a new Small Group series where we discuss issues that students and their families are facing in today’s complex world and how we can enter into those spaces equipped with God’s word, the presence of the Holy Spirit, and the compelling love of Jesus.
Twice a year, Stanwich Student & Family Ministries will host a gathering with students and their parents to connect over a meal/game, unpack a Christian perspective on a relevant topic, and then break off into discussion groups to discover how God can equip us to live out our faith in our community. Parents and students will be together throughout the night and then split up during discussion time.

Self-Image & Body Image
September 27, 7-9 PM
Emmaus Hall (Large gathering space at Stanwich Church)
Our upcoming “Let’s Talk About It” night involves a topic that we all struggle with to some degree; self-image and body image. During our time together, we’ll have an honest conversation about the differences between how we view ourselves and how God views us. We will be joined by a leading expert in the field who specializes in body image and will give students and parents some tools for understanding their self-identity and worth in Christ.

We are excited to head back to Central Appalachia this summer with Appalachia Service Project (ASP)! We had an incredible summer last year and are ready for another summer full of new experiences with one another and with God.
Appalachia Service Project (https://asphome.org) is a Christian ministry that inspires hope and service through volunteer home repair and replacement in Central Appalachia. Since 1969, ASP has made homes warmer, safe, and drier for families and provided transformational service experiences for volunteers. Each year, more than 15,000 volunteers serve with ASP, providing critical repairs for more than 350 families.
We encourage you all to watch this short video to learn more.
We would love for you to be a part of this! Please prayerfully consider joining us this summer as we travel to Central Appalachia and help make homes warmer, safer, and drier for people in need.
