A CHURCH SERVING ONE ANOTHER
A CHURCH SERVING ONE ANOTHER
As disciples of Jesus, we show our devotion to him and our love for others by generously and sacrificially serving others like he did. As members of Stanwich Church, we serve from a place of obedience and gratitude for all that Christ has done for us.
Have you ever had someone say hello at the grocery store, and it made a difference in your day? A friendly smile and sincere welcome make more of an impact in someone’s life than you would think. It doesn’t matter if you are an introvert or extravert—everyone can say “hello” to the people entering the church building for worship. Serving as a greeter at Stanwich is fun and interactive. All ages are welcomed!
What makes someone feel right at home? Food and coffee! Coffee Hour Hosts set the table for an environment in Emmaus Hall that allows for connection & conversations after worship services.
Food is preordered by the church staff making this role simple and rewarding. We look to grow through fellowship, and ultimately growing closer to God. We value the word of God, and the leadership of the Holy Spirit. We look to extend grace to all of the lost and broken, and lead those with no hope to the hope of Jesus Christ.
Sanctuary ushers help keep our services running smoothly. Simple gestures of helping someone find their seat, providing a bulletin, and assisting with the offering allow the whole congregation to enter into worship and encounter the living God.
Prayer is the heartbeat of our church and we are grateful to bring our intercessions to God who loves to hear from us. During the worship service, as people come forward after taking Communion, prayer teams simply listen to prayer requests and then bring those requests to God through intercessory prayer.
