PRAYER AT STANWICH:

Stanwich Church believes in the power of prayer. If you need prayer there are several ways that you can particpate in praying at Stanwich. Whether it is praying for yourself or family.

What is Prayer?

Prayer is ongoing conversation with God that involves both listening and speaking.  We experience the need for prayer daily and for several reasons.  In our daily lives, we can be assured through scripture, that whatever our circumstances or needs, God is attentive to people who seek Him through prayer.

Prayer Chain

Stanwich has a team of prayer "warriors", which includes our pastors and staff, who are committed to praying for the needs of our church family.  All requests are considered confidential unless otherwise indicated.  To have a request put on the prayer chain, you can call the church office (203) 661-4420, or email Patrica in our church office.

Elder Prayer

The first Sunday of every month after each service. Our Elders are available to pray with you. What is an Elder? The elders have responsibility for the oversight of the church body and the care of its members. James 5:14 it says "Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord."  If you have a something you need prayer for please consider this opportunity for prayer and do as scripture encourages.

Inner Healing

In Luke 4:18, Jesus declares that He is uniquely anointed to bring healing to the broken places in people's hearts, to set captives free, and to lead prisoners into liberty.  Jesus gives sight to the blind and brings restoration into people's lives.  Discover how to experience this freedom and emotional healing through listening and inner-healing prayer.  Sessions are completely confidential and the healing prayer team is trained and experienced. For more information or to set up an appointment, please email prayer@stanwichchurch.org

Prayer Group

If you would like to pray with others on behalf of the church and church body we invite you to join a group on Wednesday mornings at 6:30am at our Stamford office (484 Pacific Street, Stamford). Each week we pray in areas that God leads us into. If you would like to join or find out more, contact Gina Choi our Director of Spiritual Formation.
