Student Missions Week Summer

Missions Week was created out of a desire to creatively engage families and the congregation in serving our local community. Missions Week is a week-long event in which we partner with local organizations to create service opportunities for the whole church to take part. The week concludes with the Stanwich Games, a field day to celebrate all that we have done throughout the week. We were blown away by the congregational support last year and are excited to see our church family, once again, show up to serve locally.

Missions Week Pivot Clean Up Day Stanwich Church

Pivot Clean-Up Day

July 9, 9 - 11:30 AM

We love Pivot Ministries, a Christ-centered recovery ministry that transforms the lives of men in the greater Bridgeport, CT area. Join us Saturday July 9th as we bless this incredible community by joining them in refreshing their beautiful campus. There will be opportunities to paint, garden, organize basement and attic spaces, and clean up the property. In addition, we believe each person who attends will be blessed by the Holy Spirit’s presence in this amazing ministry as we connect with the men of Pivot.

Missions Week Food Drive Stanwich Church

July 10, 9 - 10 AM

Poverty and food insecurity are a daily reality for so many in our local community. Join us in meeting this need by providing non-perishable food items in partnership with the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County. On your way to Sunday Service we encourage you to bring any food from this list of non-perishable food items. Then, from 9:00 - 9:55AM we will be collecting food from the congregation as they drive into the church property. We look forward to providing our brothers and sisters in need with food during these trying times.

Missions Week Letter Writing Stanwich Church

July 10, after 10 AM Service

During the month of July when we celebrate our independence as a nation, we are grateful for our servicemen and servicewomen who make a huge sacrifice to protect our country. One way we can give back to our military is by writing letters of appreciation. We invite you to join us on Sunday July 10th after the 10 AM worship service as we write letters with words of life for those who help protect ours. A table will be set up where people can stop by and write an encouraging letter to the troops. We look forward to seeing you there!

Missions Week Prayer Walk Stanwich Church

July 10, 4 - 5 PM

The Lord calls us to pray about everything and to intercede for those who may not know Jesus in our community. Join us on Sunday July 10th at 4PM as we lift up the spiritual burdens of our neighbors during a Prayer Walk through Downtown Stamford. We will be meeting outside our new building in Stamford at 4PM to pray over the building. Then, we will be sent off in groups to walk through the streets of Stamford praying for the community to encounter Jesus Christ.

This will lead into our Stamford Outreach & Live Music Event at 5PM, which you are welcomed to attend as well!
