Proclaiming the gospel in word and in works of compassion across the world - and across the street.

As a community, and as individuals, God invites us to be His hands and feet and voice in mission to the world.   Stanwich World Missions offers a way to participate in local, domestic and global ministries in a way that maximizes the impact of your missions giving and hands-on service.

" The church doesn't have a mission. God's mission has a church..."

Launching this September!

We are starting a Prayer Shawl Ministry at Stanwich! This ministry uses yarn and needles and the skill that God has given us to offer a tangible expression of God’s love to God’s people.  As we work on the shawls, we pray for the recipients; the shawls are then consecrated and given away.

Shawls can be given for a variety of reasons: comfort during illness or grief; celebration of a milestone, such as a birth, marriage or graduation, or just as a reminder of God’s care.

Anyone who knits, crochets or quilts and is interested in learning more is invited to come to our first monthly meeting on Saturday, September 7 at 11am in the Prayer Chapel - 202 Taconic Road.  If you’d like more information, contact Laura LaSpalluto (missions@stanwichchurch.org) or 203-461-8175.
