LIFE GROUPS

What is a Life Group?

Ever since the early Church, Christians have gathered together regularly in small groups for worship, friendship, learning and discipleship.  At Stanwich, we continue this tradition.  Our  groups are a great forum for building trusting relationships.  As we aim to know, love and worship God in a personal way, we also strive to know, love and support one another. You do not need to be a Stanwich Church member to join a group - all are welcome.

If you would like to join a group or get more information, please contact the group leader.  You will find the available Life Groups by clicking the above button "Life Group List".  For privacy, addresses of private homes are not posted online.

If you are interested in beginning a new Life Group, please contact David Borden, Pastor of Evangelism & Discipleship.

Daily Devotions

The pastors at Stanwich believe being in God's Word every day is an opportunity to draw closer to the wisdom, beauty, and goodness we all desire in our lives.  This devotional, even if only for 5 short minutes is a way for you and our entire Stanwich community to draw near to our Lord and Savior. I encourage you to set a reminder on your calendar to visit this page daily or sign up to receive the daily newsletter.

Post Sermon Discussion:

Join our post sermon discussion by following along the scripture from each Sunday service.  If you decide on this opportunity, your Life Group Leader will receive a booklet with questions and reflections to share with everyone. If you would like to do the the questions and answers independently, reach out to Pastor David who can provide you with the booklet.

Back to Basics Study

Back to Basic Series:

In Philippians 3:2, Paul says, “… to write the same things to you is no trouble to me and is safe for you.” Paul often wrote the same thing over and over to the early church. Why? Because they strayed away from basics. In the same way we often stray from the basics. This is why in our opening series of 2021 “Back to the Basics,” we will take an in depth look at the basics of the Christian faith.

Lenten 2021 Study (starting Feb. 21)

Lent 2021:

For the past 2000 years the historic Church has observed Lent. Lent is a season of preparation and reflection leading up to the remembrance of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus. It is a spiritual opportunity to share in Jesus' sorrow and victory as we draw near to him.
