HOLIDAY EVENTS AT STANWICH

SERVICE OF REMEMBRANCE & HOPE

The promise of Advent is that our God is Immanuel - the God who is with us. God comes close to us to be present with us in our joy, our pain, and our grief.

We invite you to a special service for those for whom the holidays might be difficult. If you have experienced the death of a family member or friend, a significant life transition or change, we invite you to join us as we recall God’s gift of HOPE that ignites our hearts with praise, even in a time of grief.  Family and friends are invited to join you in this service of remembrance and hope.  A reception will follow in Emmaus Hall.

Date & Time:  Wednesday, December 12, 7pm

BEHOLD!

And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.   John 1:14

At Christmas we remember and celebrate that God did the unimaginable:  He became human and made his home among us. In the midst of all the rush and tinsel, we don’t want to miss celebrating the world-changing turning point of all history:  on a star-filled night in a small room in Bethlehem, the eyes of a mother beheld the glory of heaven.  God, the Creator and Sustainer of all creation, was born to be seen and embraced.  Join us as we enjoy connection, conversation and song as we behold Him now.
