What does it mean to live a cruciform life, one that is shaped by the cross of Jesus? In what ways is God inviting you into deeper relationship with and knowledge of Him? Do you long for something more?
From the moment we come to Christ until the moment we return home to him, God calls us to change - specifically, to grow in his grace, bring our wills in line with his, and increasingly become more like him. This Lent, you are invited to create more space in your life to explore spiritual practices that will draw you nearer to God, be changed by his presence and grace, and live as Jesus would in your place. Drawing on biblical, theological, personal, and historical perspectives, we will examine God’s “precious and magnificent promises” by which we become “partakers of the divine nature” (2 Peter 1:4). As we journey with Jesus to the cross and experience the depths of his love, we will encourage one another to lead cruciform lives marked by humility, radical joy, and a renewed commitment to his gracious calling.
“Cruciform: A Lenten Journey for Women" is a 6-Week Spiritual Formation Course, facilitated by Valerie Gammage on Wednesday mornings during Lent (March 5 – April 9), 9:30 AM – 11 AM in Emmaus Hall, and with a hybrid option to join via Zoom. It is for all women who want to “give the Holy Spirit space to brood over their souls” (Adele Calhoun).
