Maundy Thursday commemorates the Last Supper when Jesus shared the Passover meal with his disciples on the night before his crucifixion. Jesus led his disciples in the first act of Communion using the bread and wine of the Passover meal to symbolize his death and resurrection. Maundy Thursday is a time to reflect on Jesus’ sacrificial love and humility which he demonstrated by washing the feet of his disciples, then commanding them to go and serve likewise. It is our hope and prayer that you will encounter Jesus, the Servant King, this Maundy Thursday. Here are some ways you and your family can celebrate at home.
