Summer Bapstism

 01 August

1 PM  I August 01 l Summer Baptism

We are celebrating an immersion baptism on August 1, Sunday afternoon, at 1:00 PM.  We will celebrate both aspects of the rite – initiation – for those who have not been baptized before and want to declare their heart allegiance outwardly to Jesus.

We will also offer those who want to rededicate their baptismal vows – a rite of continuation.  It is a way of declaring a renewed or fresh start, much like the purification baths of the God-seekers before Jesus.    If you would like to be baptized or rededicate your baptismal vows, please be sure to let Kimberly know. We will have a 30-minute preparation class at 12:30 PM on the day of the baptism at the baptismal site.

More information on baptism can be found on our website If you are not being baptized, you are still welcome to join us.  Our faith gets a shot in the arm when we celebrate these events with our church family.

Hymnal & Bible Repair Bee

 14 August

10 AM  I August 14 l Hymnal & Bible Repair Bee

When we built our new Greenwich campus at 202 Taconic Road, we also purchased new hymnals and pew bibles for our sanctuary. Over 15 years ago! In that time, these treasured tomes have lived a life of their own, and they have a little wear and tear to show for it.

On Saturday, August 14 ,at 10 AM, our Worship Team Leader, Katie Troyer, and her husband Scott Troyer, our AV Team Leader, invite you to join Leon Reid, our Minister of Music, and Patricia Hallenbeck, our Admin. Assistant and Expert Book Repairer for our first ever Hymnal and Bible Repair Bee.

The term “bee” is another way of saying “a gathering of people for a specific purpose.” Gathering together to help one another is a rich tradition of our collective heritage. We invite you to be part of this community. Please join us for fun fellowship, light brunch, some hymn singing, and a lot of book-binding glue! Let us come together, Church!

Email Patricia in the church office if you plan to attend.
