Saturday, September 14, 11am

Yoth Room, 202 Taconic Road, Greenwich

We are starting a Prayer Shawl Ministry at Stanwich! This ministry uses yarn and needles and the skill that God has given us to offer a tangible expression of God’s love to God’s people.  As we work on the shawls, we pray for the recipients; the shawls are then consecrated and given away.

Shawls can be given for a variety of reasons: comfort during illness or grief; celebration of a milestone, such as a birth, marriage or graduation, or just as a reminder of God’s care.

Anyone who knits, crochets, or quilts and is interested in learning more are invited to come to our first monthly meeting on Saturday, September 14 at 11am in the Prayer Chapel - 202 Taconic Road.  If you’d like more information, contact Laura LaSpalluto ( or 203-461-8175.

Wednesday, September 18, 7pm

Emmaus Hall, 202 Taconic Road, Greenwich

This is a stunning movie that came out for only two days this summer. You will not want to miss seeing “Emanuel” and hearing from the lives that were impacted, and what we can do as a community going forward. We are honored to have two guests from South Carolina whose lives were personally affected by this tragic event in history.

About the movie: The families of the Emanuel Nine stood in court facing the killer … and offered words of forgiveness. Their demonstration of grace ushered the way for hope and healing across a city and the nation. This documentary powerfully weaves the history of race relations in Charleston, the significance and impact of Mother Emanuel Church, and the hope that somehow emerges in the aftermath.

Space is limted.

Friday, September 20, 7:30pm

Sanctuary, 202 Taconic Road, Greenwich

Leon Reid, Minister of Music here at Stanwich Church/Greenwich will delight us with an evening of classical piano music. This recital will feature works by J. S. Bach, Mozart, Chopin and others. This is a great opportunity "to make Christ known" by inviting those who might be reluctant to attend a worship service on Sunday mornings. There is no admission charge and the gospel will be presented. Come and bring a friend.
