A few intrepid members of Stanwich went to a park in Stamford where many homeless people wait for New Covenant Center to open for food. They delivered 10 bags of donated warm clothing in 25 minutes! The need was great; the desperation real and the cold is coming fast. Missions would like to hasten this process by asking for the following clean items to be donated this winter to the bin in Emmaus Hall (men’s clothing is greatly needed): Coats for men and women/some children’s coats, Hoodies, Shoes (more durable for winter), Gloves, Hats, Blankets.

Alpha is a place to connect with other people who are open to exploring life, faith, and meaning, over a 10 week course. Each session includes a free meal, a short video on an element of faith, and an opportunity for each person to share their thoughts and questions in small groups.  We’d love to hear your perspective!  Come as you are, and attend when you can.  Our hope is that you will feel welcome, comfortable, and free to ask questions in an honest, open and friendly environment. Childcare is provided.

Alpha is running for 10 weeks every Wednesday in the evenings from 7 - 9 PM starting January 8 through March 12. 

The Stanwich Men's weekend in VT is an annual pilgrimage for men, this year happening from Friday January 24 through Sunday January 26. It's a chance to reconnect with God and each other in a relaxed, life-giving atmosphere. Activities include hiking and snowshoeing on wilderness trails, great food and drink, and skiing to name a few.

In between services at 10:20 AM in the Meeting Room, join our Pastoral Search Committee for a time of corporate prayer for our search.

We have an opportunity to respond to the great hunger being seen at the New Covenant Center in Stamford. Their soup kitchen serves over 300 healthy, hot and nutritious meals daily and over 1200 people receive 10 days worth of groceries each month from their food pantry. They are seeing a great increase in the numbers they feed, so we want to respond accordingly. Please sign up online to help prepare a dish or serve!

The Confirmation program at Stanwich aims to educate, equip, and inspire students to know Christ and make Him known. This program is designed for eighth-grade students, but is also open to any seventh-graders who feel that they are ready, and to high school students who may have missed an opportunity for confirmation as a younger student. The class allows students to explore questions of the faith through conversations, games, and lessons. All are welcome to join as we discover what we believe and grow in our understanding of the Christian life.

Join us for a “Praise & Prayer” night! Collectively as a congregation we are in a season of seeking God through worship and prayer, and this is an opportunity to join together corporately to do so. Childcare is available. 

Make it a date night, or grab a group of friends and enjoy an amazing gourmet dinner served by our Student Ministry. Come and experience how the students transform Emmaus Hall into a dining venue with elegance, fun, music, and a great ambiance. Nursery care and Kid's Ministry are provided. Proceeds from the Valentine's Dinner will go towards our summer missions trip to Central Appalachia with the Appalachia Service Project. Please register before February 6 if you would like to attend.
