MISSIONS

MISSIONS & OUTREACH

Proclaiming the gospel in word and in works of compassion across the world - and across the street.

As a community, and as individuals, God invites us to be His hands and feet and voice in mission to the world.   Stanwich World Missions offers a way to participate in local, domestic and global ministries in a way that maximizes the impact of your missions giving and hands-on service.

" The church doesn't have a mission. God's mission has a church..."

February 9-17, 2018 - Guatemala Mission Trip

Can you teach crafts, ESL, organize games? Perhaps you can help build a kitchen, or play an instrument.  Perhaps your gift is prayer.  You’re invited to share your gifts with the people of Guatemala from Feb. 9-17 on the Stanwich Church Mission trip.

We will be working with Stanwich Missions partner Last Call Ministries, which sponsors a church and Christian school and is involved in many outreach opportunities in and around Guatemala City.  We’ll spend time with people their homes, schools and senior citizen listening and praying with them.  We’ll also visit another Stanwich Missions partner, Lemoonade International, which ministers in the largest slum in Central America.

Won't you consider joining us?  The trip costs between $650-$750 including room, board and transportation depending when you book the flight. Please contact Bob Caie, caiebonn@aol.com (203-921-5086) if you would like to know more.

BRIDGEPORT RESCUE MISSION

Bridgeport Rescue Mission demonstrates the love of God to the hungry, homeless and addicted throughout coastal Fairfield County. They serve 12,000 prepared and 15,000 pantry meal baskets every month, house the homeless in shelters, transform lives through their year-long New Life discipleship program, and offer a place of hope for women in crisis and their children.

Pray for Bridgeport Rescue Mission:

* For the staff and volunteers, who demonstrate the love of God to the hungry, homeless and addicted.

* For each of the men, women, and children they serve to experience the compassion, hope, and healing that Christ offers.

* For God to provide the vision and the resources necessary to serve the community’s needs.
