Course Materials: Invitations from God by Adele Calhoun and a journal

As Adele Calhoun writes in Invitations from God, “Invitations are powerful. Like tides, they ebb and flow, shaping the contours of our existence.” They can come in many forms: some deeply desired, others wholly unwanted. God’s divine invitations come our way in church, in fellowship with friends, in Scripture, in successes and failures, in joys and sorrows, and in waiting. How can we wisely discern which invitations are from God? Drawing from the life of Jesus, we see that He learned this discernment “by first saying yes to God’s invitations to rest, wait, pray, forgive, remember and love.” Join us for this four-week journey, during which we will attend to God’s divine and gracious invitations in our lives.

Wednesday Nights:  February 21 - March 28
7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

I am still confident of this:  I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.
Psalm 27. 13-14

“The Soul Work of Grief” is a six-week study where you will be able to understand and experience the ways that God meets us and works in our lives as we grieve the death of someone we have loved.   As you participate in the group, you will explore the devotional material and reflect on the conversations shared with others, You will find that your faith and confidence in His care for you will grow deep and wide.

Saturday March 3, 8:30 - 4pm

You will enjoy a day of important conversations and connections as we look to scripture, respond in worship and seek Him in prayer to live with the hope that His forgiveness offers.
