Courses:

ADULTS:

Soma Spring Series
Soma, the Greek word for “body”, is the name of our weekly gathering for teaching and discipleship to equip the church body to grow as followers of Jesus Christ.

Conversations for Today’s Parents
The class features parent panels, discussions, and resources, helping parents gain wisdom about the hot topics of family life in today’s culture.  Parents will be equipped to form a household faith that is both counter-cultural and fully engaged with culture and community.

Midweek Renewal Service
On the last Wednesday of each month, after the communal meal, the adults gather in the sanctuary for a midweek renewal service instead of the regular breakout groups.  This service provides an opportunity to worship together as a united church body, to praise God through music and prayer, and to seek His will and Holy Spirit to guide and equip us so that we may continue to grow His Kingdom through Stanwich.

CHILDREN & YOUTH

Alethia:  High School Students
Alethia brings high school students together in a small group environment that fosters deep connections and builds trust through honest discussions about life and God.   Each week our topics touch on an aspect of our main theme for the year: “Giving, Serving, Leading”.  Through Alethia, students can draw closer to Christ as they strengthen their faith and become better prepared to face the challenges in their daily lives.

Roots:  7th-8th Grade Students
Roots is a combination of our custom Confirmation class and small group curriculum for 7th and 8th graders.  Each week the students can grow in their relationship with God through either large group teaching of our core Confirmation topics or small group discussions of how Jesus wants to be a part of our everyday lives.  Students are not required to be enrolled in Confirmation to participate in Roots activities.

Rally:  5th-6th Grade Students
Rally is a pre-teen ministry that focuses on the age-specific needs of 5th and 6th graders.  As they begin to transition into being teenagers, it is important that they see older kids worshiping and developing their relationship with Christ.  Rally meets in small groups to talk about how God wants to guide us in all parts of our lives.

Sneak Peek:
For children ages K through 4th grade, a relaxed atmosphere in which children will get a sneak peek into the upcoming Sunday’s Children’s Church lessons.  This will serve to reinforce what they are learning each week and provide fun community.
