Skeptics in the Bible: Finding Faith in the Freedom of Questions

How can God allow suffering in the world?  Do miracles still happen?  Was Jesus really who he said he was, the Son of God?  These questions are not new.  In fact, they were all asked by people in the Bible.  When we ask hard questions, we join the company of people like King David, Sarah the wife of Abraham, and even John the Baptist.  God welcomes our skepticism and invites us to wrestle with him when we don't understand.  In this three-week series, we will find that there can be faith in the freedom of questions. Click below to hear this weeks message.

Thanksgiving is just a few weeks away and here at Stanwich that means Pivot Sunday is coming!  The men from Pivot Ministries will be with us during all three worship services.  Richard Williams, the Director of Pivot, will be our preacher that day.  After the 10:45 service, there will be a luncheon in honor of the Pivot men in Emmaus Hall.

There are three ways you can be directly involved:

1.   Provide groceries for the Pivot men.  Bags with an attached list of needed items are available at both campuses.  All contributions are gratefully appreciated.

Please return your bag the same area where you picked them up. Either the rotunda at the Greenwich campus or the downstairs area in the Stamford campus.

2.   Sign up to prepare food for our luncheon.  See the sign-up sheet on the easel in the rotunda.

3.    Come to the luncheon and share time and a meal with the  wonderful men of Pivot.  This is a great family event.
